Every year The Trakxx Foundation focuses on hosting an annual blanket drive – Covering Shelter Dogs with Love: The Great Blanket Give.
It is a small comfort for the dogs in shelters, and a truly compassionate initiative to provide comfort and warmth to these animals waiting for their forever homes. This is one of our favorite events of the year, as it fosters a sense of community involvement and compassion for the welfare of animals in need.
- Our goal is to collect 100+ new or gently used blankets every year for shelter dogs.
- We seek donations of new or gently used blankets in good condition, as well as pet-specific blankets.
- We collaborate and have established partnerships with multiple shelters, rescue organizations and animal welfare groups who are willing to accept and distribute the donated blankets to their dogs.
- Blanket donations are accepted year-round.
- We will happily come to our local neighbors any time of year to pick up your donations.
